Computer games have probably existed since there were computers. Computer games made by me have existed since -- after reading an article about microcomputers, but being short of real hardware -- I tried to implement a lunar lander simulation on my mum's typewriter in broken BASIC.

Later, on my C64. I wrote my journeyman's piece in 6502 machine language (among loads of slow and boring BASIC games). On the PC platform, in contrast, little happened from my side apart from the implementation of a development and runtime environment for first-person point and click adventures which is waiting for getting finished since approx. 2010. This, however, might change in future since I learned about a fabulous cross-platform open source game engine called Godot...
